The reason was that was ideal for the city landscape. Compared to the more basic model launched by Super Soco, the CPx is far more advanced. Thanks to the 16-inch front wheel the CPx is stable and well able to cope with lumps and bumps in the road. A 16” front and 14” rear wheel setup delivers smooth handling when paired with the pliable suspension. The braking comes by the use of 240mm for the front and 180mm for the rear wheel disc brakes which are linked via CBS for added safety. The large road presence of the CPx is comparable to 250cc motorbike in size, yet nimble enough to zip around busy urban environment. To aid rider comfort and practicality there is a screen and luggage rack included as standard to ensure that the CPx is there to support you no matter the situation. And if you have to maneuver it in a tight space there is a reverse gear for that.
The patented, completely newly developed wheel hub motor (max. 4,800 W / 170 Nm) with 5 speed levels including reverse gear, develops impressive acceleration up to max. 90 km / h and incomparable dynamics in every situation. For Canada the CPX max speed is limited to 70 km/h and the max torque increased to 200 Nm.
Two removable 60 V / 45 AH high performance lithium-ion batteries (18 kg / battery) of the latest generation. Charging at any conventional 230 V socket. Fast charging in 3 hours per battery already standard equipment. The batteries can be charged with 15A fast enough charger for approximately three hours.
Combination brake system (CBS), with disc brakes at the front and rear, ensures efficient and safe deceleration in every driving situation. It protects the rider of losing traction on wet roads. Both front and rear disk are 180mm with double piston caliper on the front wheel.
Headlights, taillights and (integrated) indicators are equipped with modern LED technology. High beam adiation distance – 75m. High beam brightness – 29,000Cd and 13,480Cd for Low beam.
The clearly readable LCD display adapts to the ambient light and shows all important information at a glance. It shows the change of Battery State of Charge (SOC), it visually indicates the current consumption. It can be adjusted to show the trip distance, range or motor rpm. It shows the time, ambient and motor temperature and the time.
SUSPENSION & COMFORT
CPX features telescopic front suspension with 110mm travel and Centralized Hydraulic Shock with 30mm travel Absorber mounted on the single arm. For extra comfort the seat is made out of thick sponge Cushion seat.
CONVENIENCE AND PRACTICALITY
there is some storage space under the seat. Super Soco also highlight how easy it is to remove the rear wheel where the hub motor is as this category of bikes often have to have the power lead detached to change a tyre for example. It is capable of taking 200KG of load and comes with a rear rack and front tall screen as standard features. It has a reverse mode for easy maneuvering.
